Critical medical information available instantly to emergency services — even when you can't speak. Blood type, allergies, conditions, and emergency contacts.
What is it?
Emergency Profile is a feature that makes your critical medical information available to emergency services — paramedics, ambulance crews, and hospital emergency staff — even when you're unconscious or unable to speak.
What does it do?
Emergency services scan your IDFlow QR code or search your IDFlow Number™ to instantly see: blood type, severe allergies, chronic conditions, current medications, and emergency contacts. This limited information is available without your consent — because it could save your life.
Why was it created?
In emergencies, every second counts. When a patient is unconscious, doctors don't know their blood type, allergies, or conditions. This leads to dangerous delays, medical errors, and even death. Emergency Profile was created to save lives.
Who is it designed for?
Every citizen — and all emergency services including paramedics, ambulance services, hospital emergency departments, and first responders.
Unconscious patients can't communicate their medical history
Doctors don't know blood type, leading to dangerous transfusion delays
Allergies are unknown — patients receive drugs they're allergic to
Chronic conditions (diabetes, epilepsy) are invisible in emergencies
Current medications are unknown — dangerous drug interactions occur
Emergency contacts can't be reached quickly
Medical ID bracelets are limited in information and not always worn
No standard way for emergency services to access critical information
Your Emergency Profile contains only critical information: blood type, allergies, conditions, medications, emergency contacts
Emergency services access it through Emergency Scan™ — by QR code or IDFlow Number™
This limited information is available WITHOUT consent — to save your life
Full medical records still require consent from you or an authorised family member
Emergency contacts are automatically notified when Emergency Scan™ is used
The profile is part of your Health Profile — you control what's included
Emergency services are verified before access (they must be registered on IDFlow)
Every Emergency Scan™ is logged in your audit trail
You complete your Emergency Profile in IDFlow: blood type, allergies, conditions, medications, contacts
You carry your IDFlow QR code (phone wallpaper, card, or bracelet)
Emergency services arrive — they scan your QR code or enter your IDFlow Number™
Emergency Scan™ displays critical information instantly
Emergency contacts are automatically notified with your location
Doctors treat you with full knowledge of allergies and conditions
Once stabilised, full medical record access requires consent
Every Emergency Scan™ is logged in your audit trail
Reduced medical errors save lives and reduce liability costs
Faster treatment reduces hospital stays and costs
Automatic emergency contact notification saves time and stress
Reduced ambulance and hospital administration costs
Prevented allergic reactions save thousands in additional treatment
Emergency Scan™ shows ONLY critical information — not your full medical record
Emergency services must be registered and verified on IDFlow
Every Emergency Scan™ is permanently logged
Full medical records still require consent — Emergency Profile is limited by design
Emergency contacts are notified when your profile is scanned
You control what information is in your Emergency Profile
Encrypted data storage and transmission
A cyclist is hit by a car and is unconscious on the side of the road.
Paramedics arrive and find the cyclist unconscious
Paramedic scans the cyclist's IDFlow QR code (on their phone lock screen or bracelet)
Emergency Scan™ displays: Blood type O+, severe penicillin allergy, diabetic (Type 1), on insulin, emergency contact: wife — 082 123 4567
Paramedics avoid giving penicillin — which could have been fatal
Wife is automatically notified: 'Emergency Scan activated for [Name] at [Location]'
Cyclist is transported to hospital — emergency department has the same information
Doctors administer the right treatment, avoid allergens, and manage blood sugar
Once stabilised, the hospital requests full medical record access via ConsentPass™
Wife (as authorised family member) approves access
Full medical history, recent lab results, and current prescriptions are available
Future plans include integration with smartwatches (automatic fall detection and emergency alert), GPS-enabled ambulance dispatch, real-time hospital pre-registration during transport, integration with national emergency numbers (10177, 112), and AI-powered triage recommendations.
