Digital Health Records

Your complete medical history in one secure, encrypted record — accessible to doctors with your consent, available in emergencies.

Section 1

Overview

What is it?

Digital Health Records is your complete, permanent medical history stored securely on IDFlow. It includes diagnoses, prescriptions, lab results, radiology reports, vaccinations, allergies, chronic conditions, and treatment plans.

What does it do?

Doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies access your medical records with your consent via ConsentPass™. In emergencies, critical information is available through Emergency Scan™. You never carry physical files again.

Why was it created?

Medical records are fragmented across doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies. Patients carry physical files that get lost. Doctors make decisions without full history. IDFlow was created to unify medical records securely.

Who is it designed for?

Patients, doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, laboratories, radiology centres, and medical aids.

Section 2

Current Industry Problems

1.

Medical records are fragmented — each doctor and hospital has a separate file

2.

Patients carry physical files that get lost, damaged, or forgotten

3.

Doctors make decisions without full medical history — dangerous

4.

Lab results and radiology reports are delivered on paper — lost or delayed

5.

No secure way to share medical records between providers

6.

Patients must repeat their history at every visit

7.

Allergies and conditions are unknown — leading to medical errors

8.

Vaccination records are paper-based and incomplete

9.

Medical aids can't verify treatment without paperwork

10.

No patient control over who accesses their medical information

Frequently Asked Questions

Can doctors see my records without my permission?
No. Doctors must request access through ConsentPass™, and you approve every request. In emergencies, Emergency Scan™ shows only critical information (blood type, allergies, conditions).
What information is in my Digital Health Record?
Diagnoses, prescriptions, lab results, radiology reports, vaccinations, allergies, chronic conditions, treatments, and emergency contacts.
Do I still need to carry physical files?
No. Your complete medical history is in your IDFlow account. Doctors access it digitally with your consent.
Can I choose what doctors can see?
Yes. You can share your full record or specific sections. ConsentPass™ lets you control exactly what information is shared.
How are lab results delivered?
Lab results are delivered digitally to your Digital Health Record and your treating doctor simultaneously. No waiting for paper results.
What about radiology reports and X-rays?
Radiology reports and images are stored digitally. Any doctor you authorise can view them — no more carrying CDs or films between specialists.
Can I see who accessed my records?
Yes. Every access is permanently logged. You can see exactly which doctor accessed what information and when.
Can I revoke access after granting it?
Yes. You can revoke access from any doctor, hospital, or pharmacy at any time through your IDFlow settings.
Are my records safe from hackers?
Yes. All records are encrypted, access requires biometric authentication, and every access is logged. Your records are safer in IDFlow than in a hospital filing cabinet.
What if I'm unconscious?
Emergency services use Emergency Scan™ to access critical information — blood type, allergies, conditions, emergency contacts. Full records require consent from you or an authorised family member.
Can medical aids access my records?
Only with your consent. Medical aids can request access to verify treatment for claims, but you approve every request.
How are vaccinations tracked?
Vaccinations are recorded digitally by healthcare providers. Your vaccination record is always up to date and can be shared for travel, school, or employment.
Can I add my own information?
You can add information like over-the-counter medications, supplements, and self-reported symptoms. Healthcare providers can see this with your consent.
What if my doctor isn't on IDFlow?
You can still upload physical documents to your Digital Health Record manually. When your doctor joins, they can link and verify the records.
Is this compliant with POPIA and HIPAA?
Yes. Digital Health Records are designed to meet and exceed POPIA (South Africa) and HIPAA (USA) requirements for medical data privacy.
