Asset Registry™

A digital identity for every product ever made — from vehicles to pharmaceuticals — with full lifecycle tracking, authenticity verification, and ownership transfer.

Section 1

Overview

What is it?

The Asset Registry™ is a global registry that gives every manufactured product a unique digital identity — an Asset ID. Just as every person has an IDFlow Number™, every product has an Asset ID that tracks it from manufacture to end-of-life.

What does it do?

Manufacturers register products at the moment of production. Owners can verify authenticity, transfer ownership digitally, access warranties, and receive recall notifications. Anyone can verify a product's authenticity by scanning its QR code.

Why was it created?

There's no global registry for products. You can't verify if a car is stolen, if a medicine is genuine, or if a product is under recall. Ownership transfer is paper-based and fraud-prone. The Asset Registry™ was created to bring trust to the physical world.

Who is it designed for?

Manufacturers, consumers, retailers, insurers, law enforcement, and regulators who need to verify product authenticity and ownership.

Section 2

Current Industry Problems

1.

No way to verify if a product is genuine or counterfeit

2.

No central registry for product ownership — stolen goods are easily sold

3.

Ownership transfer is paper-based, slow, and fraud-prone

4.

Buyers can't check if a product is under recall

5.

No way to verify a product's history (previous owners, accidents, repairs)

6.

Insurance companies can't verify ownership or product specifications easily

7.

Law enforcement can't trace stolen goods across borders

8.

No standard way to track products from factory to consumer

Section 3

How IDFlow Solves These Problems

1.

Every product receives a unique Asset ID at the moment of manufacture

2.

The Asset ID is linked to a Digital Birth Certificate™ and Digital Twin™

3.

Consumers verify authenticity by scanning the product's QR code

4.

Ownership transfer is digital — both parties confirm via IDFlow

5.

Recall notifications are sent automatically to registered owners

6.

Product history (owners, repairs, service) is tracked in the Digital Twin™

7.

Insurance companies can verify ownership and specifications instantly

8.

Law enforcement can trace stolen products through the registry

Section 4

How It Works

1

Manufacturer registers the product in the Asset Registry™ — Asset ID is created

↓
2

Product is sold — retailer records the sale, buyer registers ownership

↓
3

Owner links the product to their IDFlow identity

↓
4

Buyer verifies authenticity by scanning the QR code before purchase

↓
5

Ownership transfer — both parties confirm digitally via IDFlow

↓
6

Product history accumulates in the Digital Twin™ (service, repairs, transfers)

↓
7

If recalled, the owner receives an automatic notification

↓
8

If stolen, the owner flags it — the product is marked as stolen in the registry

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an Asset ID?
It's a unique digital identity number for a product, similar to how an IDFlow Number™ identifies a person. It's created at the moment of manufacture and tracks the product for life.
How do I verify a product's authenticity?
Scan the product's IDFlow QR code with your phone, or enter the Asset ID on IDFlow. You'll see the product's details, manufacturer, and authenticity status instantly.
Can I check if a product is stolen?
Yes. If the owner has flagged the product as stolen, it will show as 'Stolen' in the registry. Buyers are warned before purchasing.
How do I transfer ownership?
Both the buyer and seller confirm the transfer digitally via IDFlow. The seller releases ownership, the buyer receives a digital ownership certificate. It's instant and paperless.
Will I be notified if my product is recalled?
Yes. If you've registered ownership, you'll receive an automatic notification if your product is recalled — by app, email, and SMS.
Can I see a product's history before buying?
Yes. When you scan the QR code, you can see: manufacture date, previous owners (number, not names), service history, and any recalls — if the seller has made this available.
What products can be registered?
Any manufactured product — vehicles, electronics, pharmaceuticals, aircraft, marine vessels, industrial equipment, luxury goods, and more. If it has a serial number, it can have an Asset ID.
Does this replace my vehicle registration?
IDFlow works alongside existing vehicle registration systems. Your Asset ID is an additional layer of verified ownership and history — it doesn't replace legal vehicle registration.
Can insurers use the Asset Registry™?
Yes. Insurers can verify ownership, product specifications, and history instantly through the API. This speeds up claims and reduces fraud.
How does this help law enforcement?
Law enforcement can check the registry instantly to verify ownership and check if a product is stolen. This makes it harder to sell stolen goods and easier to recover them.
What if the manufacturer isn't on IDFlow?
You can still register ownership manually by entering the product's serial number. When the manufacturer joins, the product can be fully verified.
Can I register multiple products?
Yes. You can register as many products as you own. Each gets its own Asset ID and Digital Twin™.
Is the Asset Registry™ available internationally?
Yes. The registry is global. Products can be verified and transferred across borders.
Does the public verification show my personal information?
No. Public verification shows only product information — make, model, authenticity, recall status. Your personal information is never exposed.
What does it cost?
For consumers, registering and verifying products is free. Manufacturers subscribe to the Enterprise plan for Factory API™ access.

Future Roadmap

Future plans include vehicle-specific registries (Vehicle Registry, Aircraft Registry, Marine Registry), IoT integration for real-time product tracking, blockchain-based ownership transfer, carbon footprint tracking per asset, and integration with insurance and financing platforms. For existing products and fleets already in service, IDFlow integrates with existing operational systems via API rather than requiring re-registration — the integration-first approach that makes adoption practical across established industries.
